In what must rank as one of the most ironic and peculiar of online legal manoeuvres, Copiepress - the copyright group for French and German newspapers that last year convinced a court to bar Google (NSDQ: GOOG) News from excerpting their stories - may now sue the European Commission… for linking to papers’ online articles. Two EC sites are breaching copyright, Copiepress alleges. It’s asked a court to appoint an expert to conduct an initial assessment, and may then file a full complaint.
