—ESPN (NYSE: DIS) signs distribution deal with myvideorights.com: Online digital video distributor Myvideorights.com, has struck a five year distribution deal with U.S. sports broadcaster ESPN International. Myvideorights.com will distribute ESPN’s catalogue of sporting events to digital publishers signed on its books across the UK and Europe. Footage will be made available across all platforms, including mobile, IPTV and online.
— Bounty launches online TV: Parenting web site Bounty.com is rolling out an online TV channel that will broadcast on demand parenting programmes, reports Brandrepublic.com. The channel, Bounty.TV, swill launch with 10 shows, with new programmes added every month. The content will include advice, commentary, and reality TV clips all around parenting.
— British Airways rolls out BAHighlife.com: British Airways has launched a web version of its in-flight magazine High Life, which will supply the content’s web site. Additional editorial will come from its other in-flight publication Business life. BA recently rolled out Metrotwin, a UGC site, for frequent fliers between New York and London. As NMA.co.uk writes, BA’s media team will be sell integrated ad packages to brands wanting to reach both the magazine and online audiences.
— Penguin debuts funwithspot.com: Penguin has rolled out an online site for children’s book character Spot the Dog, Funwithspot.com, which includes video clips and games, as well as an online version of the book, according to nma.co.uk. The publishers are planning to launch Dutch and Chinese versions later this year. Spot the Dog, written in 1980, has sold 5 million books worldwide.
