— Channel 4 and EMI in Video Content Deal For Messenger TV: Channel 4 and EMI have struck a deal with Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) provide its Messenger TV service with video content, reports NMA.co.uk. The Windows Live Messenger tool will allow users to watch video clips from Channel 4 shows such as Skins, Peep Show and How to Look Good Naked as well as videos from EMI artists. The IM tool, which will allow users to create playlists of their favorite clips, will also include content from Microsoft’s other MSN video partners including ITN, MTV and Reuters.
— Revamped Dating Site For Telegraph: Telegraph Media Group (TMG) has relaunched its online dating site, which has been renamed Kindred Spirits. The roll out of the revamped site, formerly known as Telegraph Dating, is being supported by an integrated ad campaign that will appear online and across TMG newspapers, reports NMA.co.uk.
— BT (NYSE: BT) Rolls Out Online Video Portal: BT has formally launched the full consumer version of its online video portal BT Podshow that allows users to create and upload their own television and radio shows to place on the site, reports the Guardian.co.uk. Users make money by linking their shows with advertisers. BT first struck a deal to create the site in September 2006, when it signed an agreement with US firm Podshow to bring the service to the UK. The site has been up and running for several months now and has over 1 million hours of content. It is talks with This Morning’s Dr Chris Steel as well as celeb magazine OK to launch a weekly programme.
