- Deutsche Telekom: The German telco has reached a deal to cooperate with GdW, the country’s largest association of property companies, over IPTV services. Homebuilders had argued with DT, claiming they own the cables laid down in new homes. Telecoms Europe: “Under the new agreement, property management companies will be able to decide whether to award contracts for multimedia equipment installation in new or renovated buildings to Deutsche Telekom (NYSE: DT) or to cable operators.”

- Imagine: Imagine Communications, an Israeli provider of software-based VOD and IPTV delivery systems, has raised a $15 million second round of funding (£7.5 million). It brings the company’s total funding to $25 million ($12.5 million). Court Square Ventures of America joined this round, reported Globes, adding Imagine was soon to sign “a major long term strategic partnership deal with a foreign communications giant”.

- BSkyB: The satellite broadcaster and web operator has passed the one million mark for UK broadband subscribers, topping off its successful Q2, in which it added 259,000 net subscribers to become the fastest-growing broadband provider. Dow Jones: “BT (NYSE: BT) Group, Virgin Media Inc. (NSDQ: VMED) (VMED), Carphone Warehouse PLC, Tiscali and Orange, a unit of France Telecom (NYSE: FTE) (FTE), all outstrip BSkyB (NYSE: BSY) in subscriber numbers. However, Enders noted in a research note out earlier this month that BSkyB’s ability to sell high-speed Internet access to its pay television customer base had allowed it to grow rapidly, despite the increasing saturation of the U.K. market.”
