Broadband Content Bits: EU Adoption; France Leads IPTV

French IPTV: France Telecom (NYSE: FTE) is the largest IPTV operator in the world, with 1.1 million subscribers, says a new report from Telecommunications Management Group (TMG). Globally, there were 9.9 million subs by the end of 2007 - double from 2006. TMG expects 500 percent increase within three years. Via Converge.

EU adoption: Europe now has 100 million broadband connections, the EU’s i2010 programme has found - that’s 80 percent of net users. Forty million of those connections were new as of 2007, and broadband helped drive total connections up to a quarter of Europeans. Via Silicon.com.
