FHM.com/MoMedia: Mobile and web video production house MoMedia, in which Endemol owns a stake, has signed a deal with Bauer (formerly Emap) men’s mag site FHM.com to supply Kamikaze Videos, a “funniest-home-videos-meets-Jackass” series, and Paramount Comedy’s The World Stands Up. It’s “the beginning of a new business relationship with Bauer”, MoMedia said.

Five: Channel Five has signed digital media distributor Signiant to help convert from tape-based to file-based broadcasting, C21 reports. That will help its slowburning VOD plans. MediaWeek says the channel will move its catch-up TV options on to five.tv after relaunching the limited initial effort later this year.

ITV/BT: Similarly, ITV (LSE: ITV) is moving to file-based distribution by enlisting BT (NYSE: BT) Media & Broadcast’s “BT Mosaic” workflow solution to digitise its programming. An announcement says the broadcaster will be able to distribute on-demand programming to both end consumers and other broadcasters, and the fruits are on ITV.com now.
