—Gavin & Stacey: What’s occurring? This: Vodafone (NYSE: VOD) is giving away season two of the BBC sitcom on board its Nokia 5800 handsets from Monday. Nokia (NYSE: NOK) has previously marketed its N96 along with BBC’s iPlayer, but a bundled video deal is rather unique. The DVD is currently going for about £12.65, though The Sun also gave away season one last month.

—Norway TV: Norway’s three top broadcasters have formed a JV, Norwegian Mobile TV Corporation (NMTV), delivering six free-to-air TV channels and 15 DAB channels to handsets in Oslo. Although the European Commission has asked services to use the DVB-H standard, HMTV uses the competing Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB). NRK’s channels will remain free; TV2 and MTG plan to add paid channels. Via C21.

—Spotify recommendations: The music player is set to enhance its music recommendation feature by linking with Echo Nest, CTO Andreas Ehn tells DigitalMusicNews. The US music web developer’s technology can recommend similar artists, playlists and users to listeners of music services. Spotify already has some recommendations. CEO Daniel Ek told last week’s Great Escape festival in Brighton (via BrandRepublic): “We definitely want to have music recommendations, but we would never recommend tracks ourselves.”

—German football: Deutsche Telekom (NYSE: DT) is selling live Bundesliga first and second division matches on its T-Entertain IPTV service from €14.95 a month (HD €19.95). There will also be catch-up VOD, in-game replays and text info. T-Entertain is going up against pay-TV platform Premiere, due to be renamed Sky this summer. Via BroadbandTVNews.
