—Sky PC TV: The satcaster switched on its recently announced live and VOD web TV service that doesn’t require a standard Sky subscription. Part of Sky Player, the addition plays on the web in Microsoft’s Silverlight. The entertainment bundle costs £15-a-month, Sky Sports pack costs up to £34 on and includes the other pack. It all brings Sky channels to those without a satellite sub for the first time. Release.

—BBC iPlayer grows: Auntie’s iPlayer VOD service bagged 35 million views in November. That brings the total number of PC and web views for the service to 237 million since launching on Christmas Day 2007, and an additional 61 million views via Virgin Media’s IPTV VOD service since launching this summer.

—WorldTV The web video channel startup is letting its users make money from their channels. WorldTV will from Friday let them add Google (NSDQ: GOOG) AdSense ads in to their channels, sharing income 50/50 with the site. Users can get 95 percent of the income, but they will have to pay WorldTV for the privilege. Though it’s aimed at small channel owners, WorldTV CEO Alx Klive said existing pro partners like RAI are also interested. The site claims 750,000 users.
