Sky ads: Remember BSkyB’s plans to personalise ads to viewer demography? It will start with ads around online Sky Player shows early next year, launching to broadcast satellite in early 2011, MediaWeek says. It will mean different ads seen in different households.

Windows VOD: Windows Media Centre PCs in the UK can now get the archive TV VOD that MSN Video UK has been acquiring. A new option, “Internet TV Beta 2”, is available under the OS’ “Extras” tab, showing shows like Peep Show and Live At The Apollo. Via TechConnect.

VOD deals collapse: UK VOD M&A deals in Q109 were down 50 percent from Q108, a DMA/StrategyEye report says. VC deals fell by two thirds. Partnerships also fell by 50 percent. To blame: “the recession and market saturation as a myriad of competitors fight for market share”. Release.
