Broadband Content Bits: Sony’s UK Movie Downloads; Motorola-Blockbuster; Bebo’s Fashion Show; BBC

Sony (NYSE: SNE) movie downloads: European PS3 and PSP owners will be able to download full-length movies from November. Sony is rolling out its Movie Store in the UK, France, Germany and Spain this year with more territories coming next year, following the service’s launch in the US last July. Lionsgate, Paramount, MGM, Disney (NYSE: DIS) and Fox have all signed up to add their films. Via Gamesindustry.biz.

Motorola (NYSE: MOT) movies: Next-gen Motorola handsets will in the next few months come loaded with a movie download app, thanks to a new partnership with Blockbuster (NYSE: BBI). From Revolution.

Bebo’s Closet: The web TV-friendly social network is next week launching a 17-week fashion series, sponsored by O2 and its pre-paid Visa card. As with other Bebo Originals productions, The Closet is funded by advertisers who then get exposure via ads, brand placement or an appearance in the narrative. Via Brand Republic.

BBC’s social app: The BBC wants fans of Strictly Come Dancing to watch via a live streaming site created by digital agency Pancentric. Strictly Social will allow viewers to interact via live polls, comments. A target of 50,000 users has been for when the comes back to screens in September. From Design Week.
