BBC Wimbledon: The BBC Sport website clocked up 2.1 million views on Friday during Andy Murray’s ill-fated semi-final against Andy Roddick, making it the Beeb’s most-watched live streaming coverage of a sports event, eclipsing even the 2008 Olympics. The site, which showed a range of courts simultaneously, received 19.3 million views during the championships—16.2 million of which was live—which is 3.5 times highers than during Wimbledon 2008.  Release.

Myvideorights: Another addition to Ashley McKenzie’s online rights distributor: the company has signed a deal with producer Tiger Aspect to push the Mr Bean series to video sites and IPTV platforms worldwide. The 14 half-hour Bean episodes have been sold to 245 territories, but so far online clips have been unauthorised and unmonetised. Myvideorights recently added Father Ted to its catalogue. Via NMA.

Microsoft-Sup: Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) and Russian online media company SUP, publisher of news site Gazeta.ru, have jointly rolled out a version of Windows Live Messenger service for Russian-speaking users of the Livejournal blogging platform and sports site Championat.ru. A web version is already live while a downloadable client app will be available soon. Russian online sales house +SOL sells SUP’s online inventory as it does for Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO), MSN, the BBC and others.
