Centaur Uses The ‘R’ Word As Some Advertising Comes Back

New Media Age and The Lawyer B2B publisher Centaur says “recovery (is) spreading across most of the group”, after finding January-to-April ad sales were five percent up on last year.

Within that, job ads added back 20 percent and online advertising rose 11 percent to make up 27 percent of Centaur’s advertising income. But, since this is an interim statement, there are no specific figures, and Centaur hasn’t given a company-wide revenue update.

Last year was a bit horrific for Centaur, which, by the second half of the year, had lost half more than a fifth of its advertising revenue over the year and cut £5.7 million in costs plus three percent of staff.

Now, its online data business for the financial professional, Perfect Information, says subscription renewals hit 90 percent during April.

It’s also launched Pitch, an online-only subscription magazine for marketing agencies, also free to Marketing Week subscribers.

Release.
