Songkick, a US-UK concert recommendation engine, has closed its first round, estimated by VentureBeat at $1.1 million from the Accelerator Group’s Saul Klein. Based in Brooklyn and London, the company raised a seed round from Y Combinator in 2007. The site scans the web for concert listings, alerting users, based on their music library, when there are shows they might want to catch. It then provides them a link with access to ticket purchasing. Via plug-in, it will even create a tracker profile based on a user’s own music library.

Jemima Kiss has more on the company here.
