Daily Mail Hits New York Jan. 1; On-Demand Editions For Big Apple

If it can make it there, it can make it anywhere… New Yorkers will soon be able to get a daily slice of Middle England - Daily Mail (LSE: DMGT) will begin same-day printing in the Big Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) from January 1. Newspaper distributor and remote printer Newsworld Corporation got the contract in July and has now agreed a deal with New Jersey-based AlphaGraphics to use print-on-demand technology to for the newspapers from January.

Mail Online has built up a large overseas audience: 67.8 percent of its 17.8 million unique users in September were from outside the UK according to ABCe, and most of those were from the US. But it remains to be seen whether UK newspapers can replicate foreign success in print format. Release.

DMGT reshuffle: More changes at the top of Daily Mail and General Trust: Mail on Sunday ad director Simon Davies moves over to the same role at the London Evening Standard and London Lite From November 10, replacing Rosemary Gorman who moves to deputy ad director across Mail Newspapers.
