Dating Site be2.com Lands €15 Milllion Funding, WLTM Partners Around World

Dating site be2.com is looking to expand its business worldwide after receiving €15 milllion (£11.82) of VC funding from Index Ventures. Dom Vidal from Index takes a boardroom seat as a result in a deal that builds on Index’s investments in new media brands like Skype and Last.fm. be2.com started in Germany in 2004 and the part-paid site claims to be attracting 20,000 new users a day and has more than 12.3 million members in 34 countries. It employs 228 people—of 41 difference nationalities—in 11 cities around the world.  The company’s original investors were Paris-based Banexi Ventures and Angel Investors. Release.
