French Downloads Platform Nexway Gets $6.7 Million In Second-Round Funding

Nexway, a French company whose Softela and Telechargement.fr online properties allow software producers to make their wares available for download in return for online payment, has raised EUR 5 ($6.7) million in second-round funding from a consortium of European investors. The brands helped Nexway to revenue of EUR 7 ($9.4) million last year, according toAC Europe. The investment comes from CM-CIC Capital Privé, as well as Turenne Capital Partenaires and XAnge Private, which had both contributed to Nexway‘s previous EUR 1 ($1.3) million investment last July. The company recently opened offices in Brussels and Stockholm as part of international expansion plans.
