FT To Make Redundancies, Cut From Research Library: Report

More contraction in the newspaper business - FT will make up to 60 redundant, with librarians and those in the managing editor Dan Bogler’s office first in the firing line, Guardian.co.uk says, without attribution. News International also axed its research library in July and, like DMGT, has introduced a single layer for corporate and ad sales, uniting print and online leadership. Like them FT has embarked on similar integration and it’s “now assessing further steps in this process”, FT Group CEO John Ridding’s memo to staff said. The cuts won’t go down too well at a time when FT profits are continuing to grow.
