Dukudu, a German microblogging platform, has sold on eBay for 3,208 euros (US$6,406) . It was a modest acquisition of a modest site. Compared with Twitter but looking more like Jaiku, Dukudu (still in beta, of course) allows users to post to microblogs and use private messaging via SMS or the web. Dukudu’s previous owners, who said they spent 25,000 euros (US$33,600) on the project, said the new owner can monetize the site by sending advertisements via SMS, email and on the website. Winner’s identity was kept private.
