- Bauer: Carl Lyons has left his job as digital marketing director for Bauer Media. The move follows another change in the digital team earlier this month, when Richard Phillips took over as head of digital sales. It is not clear if Lyons, who has been at Bauer since 2008, will be replaced: his work will be handled by digital marketing manager Alex Outlaw. At Bauer, Lyons oversaw the launch of two iPhone apps, one for the car-buyers’ guide Parker’s and another for the film magazine Empire. (via NMA)

- Guardian Local: The online news project has picked its first three “beatbloggers”: Tom Allan (Edinburgh), Hannah Waldram (Cardiff) and John Baron (Leeds). They will be reporting to Sarah Hartley and begin work next week. The Local blogs will get launched in the first half of this year, although a specific date has yet to be confirmed.

- Adconion: The ad network that acquired the assets of online video portal Joost last November is bulking up its sales team. Byron Munson, who joins from Advantage Media, will lead the UK sales team, and Amy Andrews, who comes from Virgin Media (NSDQ: VMED), has been appointed account executive. (via NMA)

Disclosure: paidContent:UK’s parent company ContentNext Media is a wholly owned subsidiary of Guardian News & Media.
