Industry Moves: BBC.com Hires Director To Attract Asian Advertisers

imageBBC Worldwide is hiring former Forbes sales director Inez Albert to be is digital sales director for Asia. Albert left Forbes in May after three years in the Asia-Pacific region, following stints as Asian Wall Street Journal marketing director and Barron’s sales director. At BBC Worldwide, she will be tasked with selling advertising on BBC.com to Asian buyers.

The controversial advertising appeared on the BBC site outside the UK in November and pulled in £1.5 million by end of March.  MSN global sales director Tom Bowman joined BBC Worldwide as BBC.com international sales VP last year. Via Marketing Interactive.
