— .Fox Network GM Quits: The GM of the .Fox Network (“Dot Fox”) online ad platform Phil Nott has left the company, less than a year after moving from the AdSmart Network, reports NMA.co.uk. *News Corp’s* .Fox went live in April as the exclusive network for News International’s newspaper sites and other Murdoch-owned online properties and has bought a stake in video network Utarget. Before Nott’s departure, director of publisher services for Europe Federica Aperio was promoted to UK MD.
— BBC appoints Archive Controller: BBC controller, internet, Tony Ageh has been appointed controller of the corporation’s archive department with the brief of increasing access to what is the world’s largest audio-visual archive. The former creative director for Guardian News and Media and Virgin.net joined the BBC in 2002 and as internet controller was responsible for the launch of the iPlayer. Release.
— CRO for Global Cricket Ventures: Former global head of sales for ESPN-owned cricket site Cricinfo.com Alex Chamberlen has joined Global Cricket Ventures as chief revenue officer. GCV is a JV between Vancouver, Canada-based Live Current Media and Indian new media company NetlinkBlue Holding, owners of Cricket.com and rights holders to the portal for the highly lucrative Indian Premier League tournament. Chamberlen, also a former development director at CNN International, was at Cricinfo.com from 2004 to 2007 and played a big role in the site’s purchase by ESPN (NYSE: DIS). Release.
—Former MSN executive joins GMG: Partner at VC tech company Accel Partners Judy Gibbons has joined Guardian Media Group board as a non-executive director. Gibbons set up *Microsoft’s* MSN business in the UK before being made corporate VP of MSN global sales and marketing in 35 markets and has held senior positions at Apple and 02. Via MediaGuardian.
—Telegraph travel ad head leaves: Kim Butler has left her role as Telegraph Media Group’s head of client services, luxury and travel, after five years. Her destination is currently unknown and some of her responsibilities have been taken over by Cheryl Johnson and the rest of TMG’s sales team. In a separate move, TMG hired News International’s Mike Allen for the new role of development agency manager. From Marketing Week.
