Geraldine Wilson has been appointed to the position of CEO at Truphone, a London-based company that enables phones with Wi-Fi to make regular phone calls and send text messages using the Internet, according to a press release. Previously, Wilson worked at Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO), where she was responsible for the business and marketing strategy for Connected Life in the UK, France, German, Italy and Spain. Her departure was acknowledged by Yahoo in a memo sent out to employees a couple of weeks ago,  that detailed a large restructuring in Yahoo’s Connected Life and mobile division. Wilson will start at Truphone in early November.
