Update: Nancy Cruickshank will become the CEO of VideoJug.com, an online video sharing site focussing on how-to and expert advice clips. She takes over from Dan Thompson, one of the founders of the company, who stays on as chairman. VideoJug has about 100 employees and is based in London and Los Angeles. Its content includes 30,000 “ask the experts” clips, and half of the clips are aimed at a US audience, and half at UK-based users, writes the Guardian. The site received $30 million (£15 million) in funding in May of last year and syndicates its content to other portals, including MSN, Virgin Media (NSDQ: VMED) and YouTube. It claims around four million people use the site every month.

Original post: Hearst Digital’s UK MD Nancy Cruickshank, the former Handbag.com MD, is quitting the publisher. Hearst’s NatMags bought the women’s portal for what was reported to be £22 million in October 2006, when Cruickshank’s role was widened; it’s since become a key component of the publisher’s online-only portfolio. Alex Ballantyne, founder and MD of NatMags’ other online-only acquisition, NetDoctor, is replacing Cruickshank. Media Week: “NatMags chief executive Duncan Edwards said the company knew that Cruickshank would move on in due course and that he was looking to grow the company’s digital activity under Ballantyne.”
