BBCWW’s Lonely Planet is hiring the CEO of UK online dating network Allegran as its new global online director.  Kelly Brough will report to Matt Goldberg, who replaced Judy Slatyer as CEO when he joined from being Dow Jones (NYSE: NWS) digital SVP in January.

The travel guide firm and its online innovation ecosystem manager Matt Cashmore are based out of Melbourne, and Brough will join them from London later this month. The site relaunched last year, offers affiliate travel buying, is trying to profit from iPhone apps and plans to split ad income with community reviewers. Brough previously worked with Accenture and on paid services strategy for AOL (NYSE: TWX). Release.
