Updated: Industry Moves: Microsoft’s Dobson Leaves After Restructure, BBC-Bound?

Update: Dobson will head global advertising sales across media for BBC Worldwide, reuniting him with former MSN global sales director Tom Bowman, who joined BBC Worldwide as BBC.com international sales VP last year, according to a source close to him.

Original post: Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) UK’s online services group VP Chris Dobson is leaving the company after seven years, following the recent restructure of the team. Campaign magazine says he’s joining BBC Worldwide. The recent rejig brought together the commercial and online units under one department, headed by Microsoft Advertising exec Chris Ward. No confirmation yet on the BBCWW role. Dobson joined Microsoft in 2001 from ZenithOptimedia.

  • Hi Robert,

    Thanks, Andy.

  • Chris is certainly joining the BBC; he'll be heading up Advertising Sales for BBC Worldwide.
