Industry Moves: SonyBMG Adds Picsel’s Ferguson As Digital SVP
Another music label staffing up digitally at the top, this time with a mobile track record. SonyBMG UK is hiring mobile media software maker Picsel‘s global content MD Graeme Ferguson to a new position of digital and strategic partnerships SVP, starting September (via MusicWeek). Prior to Picsel of Glasgow, Ferguson spent five years as director of content at Vodafone (NYSE: VOD), helping launch its Live! mobile portal; he started Worldzap and held EMEA posts for NBC, CNBC and Dow Jones (NYSE: NWS). At a global level, SonyBMG already has Thomas Hesse as digital president and, in EMEA, has Ian Henderson as digital business development VP.
