Robert Thomson continues his remake of the Wall Street Journal‘s global structure with the hiring of former Sunday Telegraph editor Patience Wheatcroft as editor-in-chief for Europe.

Starting next month, she’ll be responsible for relocating the European HQ from Brussels (who knew?) to London, where it will get join the newspaper trend by creating a multi-platform, integrated newsroom. Wheatcroft will report to managing editor (and Dow Jones (NYSE: NWS) editor-in-chief) Robert Thomson.  Under a Dow Jones-run Murdoch, WSJ is on a strong international push, especially in Europe, perhaps going after FT on its own turf…
