TV streaming app Zattoo promoted Alex Guest to be its UK general manager after previous UK manager Alexandra Iles moved to run the service in Austria. The lineup varies from country to country depending on rights but, in the UK, the Switzerland-based outfit rebroadcasts around 30 TV channels over the internet to its proprietary software, including all the public service channels and other European news channels (I’m watching Russia Today right now).

Guest told paidContent:UK: “The main goal in the UK is to grow the userbase and to monetise that growth at the same time. One of key things is to understand what our users want from us that they cant get elsewhere and improving the choice of content, adding more channels that people really want to see.
