Interesting piece, minor quibble - it’s FT Alphaville, not Alphavilla.

As it is not clear where to post corrections, note that in the quote from James Montgomery “I think it was a bit of a faint by Dow Jones” my guess is the correct spelling of the word he was using is ‘feint’. Verb: to make a deceptive or distracting movement. Please delete this comment if/when corrected.
