Last.fm is quickly gaining traction in the mobile world, adding Vodafone (NYSE: VOD) today to recent launches on T-Mobile and 3. The telco is making the social music site’s Audioscrobbler available to Nokia (NYSE: NOK) N95, N96, N78 and 6210 handsets, allowing the site to monitor tracks being played on the phone. The app also serves up charts, recommendations, friends’ listening etc and users can click through to buy tracks from the Vodafone Music Store, but only in Germany. Last week, T-Mobile added Last.fm to its Mobile Jukebox service and 3 UK is carrying the service on its INQ handset. In a fit of irony, the Last.fm page for Vodafone’s app is currently showing a banner ad for for the 3 UK phone.
