— Orange Launches Ad-Funded Mag: Orange has rolled out an ad-funded video magazine service on its portal Orange World. The clips—which includes celeb gossip, news, and entertainment—are being supplied from broadcasters including ITV (LSE: ITV), Sky, BBC Worldwide and ITN and will be updated twice a day. The clips will be supported by video pre and post roll ad spots, as well as companion banners (release).
—Nokia Strikes Ovi Deal: Nokia (NYSE: NOK) announced today it has signed on Norwegian carrier Telenor to its internet services platform Ovi. In the deal, Telenor will give its customers in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Hungary access to Ovi, while Nokia will provide Telenor with customized phones to give easier access to Nokia Maps, N-Gage and Telenor Music Store and Mobile TV. The announcement follows Nokia’s similar deal in May with T-Mobile (release).
— MySpace Goes To Russia: Russia’s largest mobile telco, MTS, has inked a deal to be the exclusive carrier of MySpace in the country and some of its former republics. The localized MySpace Russia will become part of MTS’ WAP portal and the telco will launch a branded community back on the website, intending to get in to social and viral marketing.
