Munich Tech Investors Bring £199 Million Fund To London

Munich-based tech venture capital house Wellington Partners has assembled a 265 million euro (£199 million) fund and opened a London office. Wellington’s digital media portfolio includes business network Xing, social lending site Zopa and mobile VoIP app Truphone. The London office is headed by Eric Archambeau and Frank Böhnke, and is opening because the city is “a central hub for European VCs” - it “will help us become even more accessible to entrepreneurs across Europe.” Release, via AC Euro.
