Over Christmas and New Year, paidContent:UK is asking digital media figures to pledge a resolution for the year ahead and look back at the last 12 months. Last time was Best Before Media CEO Mark Rock; next up is John Angeli, who has been leading the Press Association newspaper wire service’s aims to deliver more multimedia…

imageWhat’s your New Year’s resolution?: “Increase the volume of video content we are gathering across the UK and get that to clients looking to develop their news, sport and entertainment services across newspapers, portals or broadcast.”

Biggest regret of 2008?: “If you can call it a regret, then it’s the difficulties faced by local papers and the impact on their communities.”

What will really happen next year?: “Audiences will continue to grow around video and multimedia content and that’s where much of our focus will be. On a slightly different tack, we’ll all be a little wiser when Lord Carter publishes his initial thoughts in January on the future of ‘Digital Britain’, with a follow-up in June.”
