Ogilvy Buys Majority Of Czech Web Marketer Advertures
WPP has added another advertising services company to its growing collection, with Ogilvy buying a majority stake in Czech internet marketer Advertures - a company that’s so bleeding edge, it has only a temporary website.

The company did report €1.5 million revenue last year, said WPP, which has bought tech PR AxiCom, a big stake in Scottish in-game ad maker Realtime Worlds and several other ad agencies around the world in the last year. The company said it was consistent with its two targets of growing in fast-developing regions and of growing its digital media clout. The Czech Republic is certainly in the “fast-growing” bracket, with central and eastern Europe fingered as one of the best-developing tech and online areas. Advertures has 28 people based in Prague.
