Orange Music Store Sales Doubled Since January

Operator Orange has released its mobile music download figures, showing a 70 percent increase in sales in the past six months and an almost doubling of sales between January and October. In January Orange customers downloaded 105,000 tracks, while in October the figure was 203,000. There are some numbers for individual tracks as well—current number one in the singles chart Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis has been downloaded from the Orange Music store more than 5,000 times in the past seven days, while the bestselling download single, Crazy by Gnarls Barkely, has been downloaded 25,000 times to date—a back-of-an-envelope calculation indicates that is about 1.25 percent of total sales.
