Pearson Buying E-Learning Platform Fronter
The Financial Times owner’s education division is buying Oslo-based Fronter, a web-based distance learning platform, for an undisclosed sum. In a similar space to Blackboard, Fronter’s ‘learning management system” offers tools like scheduling, tutor collaboration, coursework access and online group learning. It has over 3,000 customers, mostly in Norway, Sweden and the UK. Pearson’s acquisition will expand Fronter in to new territories. Release.
