October ABCe: For fans of the monthly urinating contest that is ABCe’s online news stats, the latest results are much the same as usual: everybody won, but some more than others. All seven main publishers added unique users in US election month, but Mail Online claimed third place from Times Online and Guardian.co.uk extended its lead, breaking the 25 million mark.

Mirror archive: Daily Mirror page scans from 1903 to 1980 have been added to UKPressOnline, a paid news archive website that was, until July, only accessible to those in academia. The digital archive already contains Daily Express and Daily Star pages. Prices range from £5 for 48 hours, to £295 for a year. Via J.co.uk.

Emap consolidation: One side-effect of B2B publisher Emap Inform’s impending job cuts: it’s considering merging production staff for Architects Journal and Architectural Review and making writers for each answer to one editor. Perhaps logical: how many architecture titles does one publisher need? Via Press Gazette.

Monkey mag Dennis Publishing has launched a mobile version of its Monkey digital-edition magazine. PlayerX and Mobile IQ teamed to power the publication.

Irish Times: The Irish paper is the latest to opt for job cuts - up to 60 of them from across the company, about 14 percent of staff, are due to go, with the company facing €13 million (£11 million) losses, Guardian.co.uk says.
