The exclusive UK deal puts Demotix’s widget, featuring the best shots from its 5,600 contributors around the world in 120 countries, and follows similar deals with Le Monde in France and Future News in Lebanon. Economist mag shuts : Following what has not been the best six months to be a CFO, Economist Group has closed its London-based magazine especially for them, CFO Europe. The move puts 13 jobs at risk though the company is keen on redeployment before redundancies. The company says “structural changes in the B2B advertising market have made achieving acceptable profit levels very difficult for CFO Europe. CFO Asia and CFO China both closed in February but the American edition will remain. Via Guardian.co.uk.

Centaur closure: Another B2B mag closure: Centaur Media’s HR industry title Resourcing will from September become part of sister title Recruiter and won’t continue as a separate title. From Private Fraser.

Knowledge goes online: Drum’n'bass magazine Knowledge is abandoning its print edition after 15 years to go online only from July.
