Reuters (NSDQ: RTRSY) has relaunched its mobile web site and given Nokia’s new mobile sales house Ad Business its UK ad sales contract (Via NMA). The new site sits on a recently developed in-house platform that helps better integrate the mobile site and the web site. Nokia’s Ad Business, meanwhile, has signed several launch advertisers, including IBM, Lexus and Sony. Mastercard will try out pre-roll advertising spots available around Reuters’ mobile video downloads. Ilicco Elia, Reuters’ mobile products manager told NMA that usage is growing, and he would continue to focus on attracting more users after the relaunch. Reuters is also hoping to get to know its customers better, and will work with operators next year on how to extract more user data to create a more personalised service.
