After buying up Deutsche Telekom’s (NYSE: DT) 37 percent stake in its German newspaper Bild’s website last month, Axel Springer group has stripped the “T-Online” reference from what had until now been called “Bild.T-Online”. Now it’s merely Bild.de, and the JV holding company becomes Bild Digital. DPA: “Bild.T-Online was set up in 2001 to appeal to a similar readership to that of Springer’s flagship ... at a time when Telekom was eager to become a content provider. (Springer) said an earlier relaunch had already borne fruit, with advertising revenues from the site up 40 percent in 2007.”
