Russians Love Social Nets More Than Anyone, Vkontakte Dominant

We knew Russia’s online media were exploding; now comScore (NSDQ: SCOR) data shows the country’s internet users visit social networking sites more than anyone else in the world - an average of 6.6 hours and 1,307 pages per visitor per month. Release.

Some 59 percent of users there visited a social network in May. Facebook and MySpace are mere bit players in a country where it’s all about the local players - Vkontakte.ru, the site that looks a lot like Facebook actually, leads with 14.3 million monthly users.
