Sky To Launch Mobile Betting In UK

UK pay TV giant Sky is readying plans to offer Sky Bet as a mobile service, which will be an extension of the companies existing online, interactive TV and telephone betting services. The service is set to launch later this month. BSkyB (NYSE: BSY) (which owns Sky and Sky Bet) is partnering with mkodo to roll out the service reports Mobile Entertainment—mkodo already provides managed services to BBC, Turner Broadcasting and Rank Interactive (Blue Square). Back in September Sky signed with mfuse to run the service—that appears to have been called off mFuse are developing the Java version of the site and mKodo the WAP version.
