As was first reported last December, French TV network TF1 has filed suit against YouTube alleging copyright infringement. French newspaper Les Echos, via Reuters (NSDQ: RTRSY), said the network was seeking damages of €100 million—the same figure that was previously reported. According to the report, Google (NSDQ: GOOG) has acknowledged receipt of the suit, which will be tried in France. The company bases its damages claim on a formula of lost VOD sales for each posted video.
