An added reason to join us for tonight’s UK mixer: a Q&A with Martin Stiksel, one of the three co-founders of Last.fm. As you know, Stiksel and company sold to CBS (NYSE: CBS) in one of the highest-profile start-up UK-US deals of late and we’ll have plenty to talk about during the on-stage interview. How can Last.fm stay entrepreneurial in a big corporation? How has the sale changed Last.fm? What kind of competition would MySpace Music’s proposed JV be?

We’ll be at the Millennium Gloucester hotel in Kensington on Thursday, March 27—and we’ll have the usual mix of real-world “social networking” with digital media industry folk in newspapers, the web, TV, radio, marketing, VC and more, so it’s a great opportunity to meet new peers away from the office. Go here to register.

Some free tickets are still open http://pcukmar08.eventbrite.com . Thanks to our gold sponsor Limelight Networks; drinks courtesy of IMR Executive.
