Virgin Media Ups Content On Portal

Virgin Media (NSDQ: VMED) has launched three new services in a bid to position itself as a major online content portal. It will offer shows from its recently launched digital TV service Virgin 1, as well as games and music content. Virgin “has also signed deals with music platforms OD2 and Vidzone to supply it with music tracks and videos in preparation to ramp up its music offering in the New Year…[and] has extended its games proposition with Metaboli to include an all-you-can-eat model which features the world’s largest publishers such as Eidos, Sega, THQ (NSDQ: THQI) and Ubisoft” reports NMA. The Virgin Media portal is seen by around 7 million people each month according to Comscore, and has 3.4 million broadband subscribers.
