You can imagine how executive chairman Michel Grade fumed when someone failed to override ITV’s automated scheduling during Everton’s FA Cup victory over Liverpool this week. Still, though many viewers missed the winning - and only - goal, it does allow the wonderful self-referentialism of ITV (LSE: ITV) News repeating the clip, complete with accidentally-inserted ad.
