Brightstation Ventures has made a £1 million ($2 million) investment in Osoyou.com, a UK fashion social shopping network due to launch later this summer. Led by Dawn Bebe, former MD of Emap’s Elan women’s magazine division, Osoyou.com will compete with Condé Nast’s StyleFinder.com, NatMags’ Handbag.com and with MyStyleWindow.com, targeting 25- to 35-year-olds. The site will include personalized “Web 2.0” shopping features, photo sharing and will allow shoppers to interact with each other, Bebe told mad.co.uk; she is seeking advertisers. Brightstation took a 50 percent stake in blog network Shiny Media for $4.5 million back in January.
