AXA Buys Controlling Stake in French Radio Station & Blog Forum

AXA Private Equity has bought an 80 percent stake in Orbus, the French company that runs popular French radio station Skyrock and Internet forum Skyblog.
The transaction valued Orbus at around $119.7 million…though the value of the stake wasn’t disclosed. Investment banks Morgan Grenfell and Goldman Sachs sold off their holdings in Orbus as part of the deal.
Skyblog online forum is one of the most popular Internet sites in France…the company says 4 million active Skyblogs mark was reached on 4th March 2006, three years after the launch of the site.
