UK Industry Moves: New AOL UK MD; Hachette Digital Head

Couple of major industry moves in UK:
—AOL UK has appointed its senior VP of audience, Andy Jonesco, to the newly created role of AOL UK managing director…this comes after it sold its ISP business last month to Carphone Warehouse while it focuses on the online portal. Jonesco, who is a former managing director of Express Newspapers, will oversee the company’s business through its UK portal, and its partnership with Carphone. He will also become head of pan-European sales and interactive marketing alliances for AOL Europe, where he will report to the division’s newly appointed president, Carlo d’Asaro Biondo.
—Elle publisher Hachette Filipacchi has poached Dave Killeen, Associated Northcliffe Digital’s GM, as director of digital…Killeen will head up Hachette Filipacchi’s newly created digital publishing division, where he will take responsibility for online operations across eight of the publisher’s titles. Hachette has also hired Kat Vitou to be its head of business development and operations at the new digital operation.
